About: Created in Google Slides, this virtual community room interface familiarized learners with the whereabouts of media, organizational objects, course design, subject matter documents, links, support media and archives, and useful information for all course members. For social comfort, personal likenesses were created in Bitmoji, color schematics chosen from palettes pulled from their course textbook cover images, and graphics overlapped and organized by label and active links to respective URLs and uploaded files.

Target Audience: Departmental administration (Science), learners Aged 14-18

Importance: Hillsborough Public Schools County had recently switched online Learning Management System (LMS) platforms from Edsby to Canvas, during the year all employees were made to transition services online with only 3 weeks’ notice; these quickly rendered graphic spaces provided ease of logistical course mapping, optimizing user engagement and orientation of workflow. Due to the limitations of permissible sites and difficulty in authorization, Google Slides was chosen as the primary authoring tool for development.
