Sophia Neuber, energetic bibliophile; pleased to meet you.

I love optimization, science, technology, and learning theories. Bio-hacking? Check. Brain-hacking? Yes please.

That person we all know that always needed to test a hypothesis (because what’s the fun in only thinking about it?)—*two thumbs up*—this gal. Organization and efficiency are constantly in the forefront of my thinking; marry this with creativity and out-of-the-box thinking and you've got an exuberant technical designer at your service! Or a dork. Both? Both.

Evaluation, adaptive design, and facilitated development have secretly always been my passions, built up by unique involvement in several different industry fields. Having earned a Bachelor of Science degree, Professional Education Certification, Computer Science + Coding Fellowship, and strict accreditation from the Applied Instructional Design Academy, I currently specialize in applying current adult learning principles to instructional design methodologies to produce bespoke learning solution experiences and deliverables.

Science research, field work, curriculum design, and high-stakes analyses taught me the importance of collaboration and perspective. Ever try to correctly measure a gopher tortoise hole in the rain while a snake zigzags ever closer to your dry, warm pant leg? I have. (Cue not complaining about another indoor departmental meeting or a 200-page data analysis ever again).

I am proud of my diverse career background, and the lessons learned that ultimately placed me in my true calling: pursuing a career where tech, society, research, and learning all meet.

Outside of the day-to-day tasks, I enjoy learning new skills + tools, DIY, paddleboarding, pickleball, hot yoga, and train in Brazilian jiu jitsu (what can I say, legally choking a person brings a smile to my deceivingly young-looking face). Whether in headphones or on a page, consuming books is also a prominent part of my daily life.

The sidekick to most adventures: The Fluff (below image on the left, not the right); she might make an appearance in a Teams or Zoom call. If you’ve read this far, you might as well keep scrolling. I appreciate you getting to know me more, so thank you.

*As Volunteering is an important part of my life, if you believe you or your organization have a good cause for pro bono, please feel free to reach out regarding your project specifications for further discussion.
